For those with special requirements Devlin offer a custom keycap service.  Designed tooled and moulded in-house by our expert team this provides a fast and cost effective way of adding significant value to your finished product.  Features including; LED windows, textured surfaces and double shot legends are all possible with 3D CAD and rapid prototyping techniques allowing new designs to be trialled before tooling commences.  

Defining keyboard operations by function, process or application can deliver significant user benefits including; increased efficiency, reduced error and shorter training times.  The use of coloured keys is the most effetive visual tool in achieving this benefit.  Choose from our extensive range of standard colours or take advantage of colour matching to create specific identities - e.g. corporate branding or on-screen application colours.

Keycaps can be supplied blank or with legends applied using variety of techniques including; double shot, laser marking, engraving and printing.  Multiple legend colours and front face legends are also possible using a combination of techniques.  Legnds may be specified as text or symbols including logos and we can accommodate any language or dialect you may require.

Multi-width keycaps require a self-levelling mechanism to prevent binding on the switch and placing undue load on the keycap itself.  All Devlin manufactured keyboards feature a proven self-levelling system consisting of hinges, rod and feet designed to provide smooth relaible key travel.  For those developing their own hardware Devlin can supply all the necessary components.
