To achieve this comprehensive level of approval, we have invested in facilities to ensure pre-compliance of our products before formal testing by an external body, thereby saving the time and expense of re-testing.

We have a dedicated department focussed on compliance and quality management. All our procurement, in-take, manufacturing and despatch procedures follow robust methodologies, with transparent traceability.

In-house Testing Capabilities

At Devlin Electronics, our commitment to quality is backed by our ISO 9001:2015 accreditation. This certification underscores our dedication to maintaining the highest standards in every product we deliver. We have a wide range of equipment to check products conform to the required electro-magnetic compliance standards. We are particularly proud of our in-house EMC chamber, which is used for product self-certification. Specialised equipment includes a spectrum analyser (to measure radiation emissions), log and bi-conical antenna (measuring radio wave receipt across a range of frequencies), LISN (for power supply and associated noise analysis) and a reference source to calibrate the chamber.

We pride ourselves on our in-house compliance testing capabilities, which significantly reduce costs for our customers by minimising the need for external testing. However, it's important to clarify that while we perform many compliance tests internally, some specific tests, such as FCC testing for the US market, must be conducted by an external test house.

For products destined for the UK or European markets, we handle all UKCA and CE compliance testing in-house, ensuring thorough and efficient certification processes.

By conducting extensive pre-compliance checks, we ensure our products meet all necessary requirements before they undergo any mandatory external testing. This proactive approach gives our customers confidence that their products will pass formal testing on the first attempt, saving them both time and money by avoiding the need for retesting.

Rental of EMC Chamber

We also offer our EMC chamber for rent to customers who wish to test their products before formal compliance, minimising potential costs if the product does not pass certification on the first attempt.
